Braidwood Show

   The Braidwood show is on the 1st Saturday in March each year.

Held at the Braidwood showgrounds, Kings Highway Braidwood.

Many a varied stall full of local crafts, trade stands with machinery and tools, the pavillion with all the color of local produce, cooking, crafts and the displays from the local school children are a delight. 

Lots of rides to be had down sideshow alley.

There is the shearing and sheep counting competitions, horse events, dog show, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry and much, much more.

Braidwood show that has been running for over 130 years. Come along and experiance a real country show.

BRAIDWOOD RODEO

  • Braidwood Rodeo is being held on the 19th of March at the Braidwood Showgrounds, Kings Highway Braidwood.

  • Last years event was a huge success so be prepared for this years event to be even better.

  • The main event will start at midday so be sure to get in early.

  • There will be entertainment and a Presentation Dance with live music from "The Corbys"

  • Camping is availible, camping fees apply

ANZAC DAY

Monday the 25th of April

Dawn service will be held at the cenotaph at 5.30am.

The main service including a street march and fly-over will also be held at the cenotaph at 11am.

The cenotaph is located on the top of the hill on the corner of Wallace and Wilson St. 

 

 


 

TWO FIRES FESTIVAL
 

The Two Fires Festival is a bi-annual event held in May.

It honours and carries forward the sprit of poet Judith Wright's twin passions of art and activisum, particulary in the enviorment and indigenous activisum.

The first Two Fires Festival was held in 2005.

Judith Wright (1915 - 2000) was a Braidwood resident for the last years of her life.

The next Two Fires Festival will be held on Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of May 2017

The theme of next years festival is "Passing the Torch" with emphasis on involving more young people in the arts and activisum

There will be seminars, workshops,performances and exhibitions.
