BRAIDWOOD Braidwood is located 300km south-west of Sydney and halfway between Canberra and Batemans Bay on the Kings Highway. Braidwood is a good base from which to explore the unspoilt beaches of the South Coast of NSW or visit the surrounding National Parks. Braidwood sits on the south-east edge of the Southern Tablelands about an hour's drive from Goulburn or Canberra and approx. 40/50 minutes from Batemans Bay. SERVICES TO BRAIDWOOD DRIVING From Sydney follow the Hume Highway to Goulburn, then take State Route 79 direct to Braidwood. From Canberra follow the King's Highway from Queanbeyan direct to Braidwood. From Batemans Bay take the Kings Highway over Clyde Mountain. OTHER TRANSPORT The nearest railway stations are Tarago 45km and Bungendore 48km, both on the Canberra line. Goulburn is further at 82km where Melbourne trains travel through as well so there is more choice.
